According to Insurance Journal and the Pennsylvania Attorney General, Dave Sunday, former claims adjuster, Glenn Allen Johnson was charged last month for allegedly defrauding his employer, Donegal Insurance, of almost $1 million by creating a fake law firm, Elite Injury Representatives, LLC, and “representing” the claimant in an accident.

Here are the details of the case, according to Insurance Journal:

  • “Investigators maintain that Johnson, of Indiana, was employed as a claims adjuster by Donegal Insurance when he steered payment of $949,639 from Donegal to Elite Injury Representatives."

  • "According to investigators, Johnson, while employed at Donegal in 2024 and 2025, created and opened Elite Injury Representatives, which appeared to be a law firm, and utilized his position as a claims adjuster to input fraudulent documentation into the Donegal claims file. This documentation included fraudulent medical records and notes of conversations between the alleged injured party and Johnson, according to prosecutors.”

  • “Based on the medical records within the file and a subsequent demand letter, also believed to be authored by Johnson, Donegal issued a payment to Elite Injury Representatives in the amount of $949, 639.54.”

  • “In a statement to Insurance Journal Donegal said it recovered the improperly taken funds and Johnson is no longer an employee. The company added that it has worked with authorities and will continue to cooperate throughout the legal process.”

Johnson was charged with corrupt organizations, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, theft by deception, insurance fraud, and forgery, and is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
