Update: NJ Man Pleads Guilty to Insurance Fraud After Viral Surveillance Video Captures his Staged S

Back in March of this year, we reported on the viral surveillance video seen below of 57-year-old Alexander Goldinsky of Randolph, NJ who staged a “slip and fall” at his former place of employment.

The footage shows Goldinsky throwing ice on the floor, slowly placing himself on his back to give the appearance of a slip and fall, and waited there to be discovered. He then filed a fraudulent insurance claim to cover the cost of ambulance services and treatment at a local hospital for alleged injuries sustained during the incident.

According to www.mycentraljersey.com, Goldinsky has officially admitted to fraud and pleaded guilty to third-degree insurance fraud charges. According to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, he was “admitting he staged the incident and gave false information to medical personnel, which he knew would be submitted to the insurance company in connection to a claim for payment of his medical bills.”

It is reported that Goldinsky is facing non-custodian probation and restitution in exchange for the guilty plea. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for November 4th, 2019.

May Goldinsky’s actions serve as a constant reminder that insurance fraud doesn’t pay!
