Surveillance Footage Captures New Jersey Man Staging Fraudulent Slip and Fall at Work

The surveillance video of a New Jersey man who staged a “slip and fall” at his former place of employment has gone viral. According to CBS News, the following incident occurred last year in Woodbridge, NJ at an unnamed company in which 57-year-old Alexander Goldinsky was employed as an independent contractor.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office released footage of Goldinsky of Randolph, NJ “allegedly” pouring a cup of ice onto the breakroom floor of his employer, placing the cup into the trash, walks back over to step on an ice cube, “slips” and “falls” to the floor, and continues to lay on his back awaiting discovery.

CBS News states, “Investigators say the footage speaks for itself. After the incident, Goldinsky filed a claim for an ambulance and treatment at the hospital for the injuries he claims he sustained.” We’ll let you be the judge.

Goldinsky was officially charged with insurance fraud and theft by deception. He was arrested on January 15, 2019 and released with a summons until he gets in front of a judge.
