Bus Accident in NJ Attracts Federal Investigation

Claims Journal reports a tour bus carrying fifty-seven passengers on a trip from Canada to New York City was involved in an accident while inside New Jersey borders early last month. Twenty-three out of the fifty-seven passengers were injured during the crash, and officials are investigating a multitude of problems.

First, the Federal Motor Safety Carrier Safety Administration is trying to determine whether or not the bus was legally allowed to function inside the United States. Aside from that issue, authorities are trying to find the cause of the accident that occurred along an off-ramp in Wayne, NJ. 51-year-old Neville Larmond, driver of the bus and Toronto native, claims that another driver cut in front of the bus, causing the vehicle to slide down an embankment and land on its side.
